the un summer academy - agenda

The UN Summer Academy 2016

The 2016 edition of the UN Summer Academy will focus on the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, including the Sustainable Development Goals, along with the Paris Agreement under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Leveraging the presence of 19 UN entities in Bonn, as well as numerous leading institutions in international development, the academy will provide an exclusive opportunity for dialogue with professionals working towards the implementation of a universal sustainable development agenda, applicable in all countries.

The UN Summer Academy offers an engaging five day programme, ensuring rich interaction between peers and faculty, participation in solution oriented clinics, and discussions of relevance to the work of the United Nations System, academia, philanthropic foundations, civil society and the private sector in the context of the 2030 Agenda.

As part of the Summer Academy, A Share Fair will be organized, which will bring together different German and regional institutions and initiatives across different sectors, to showcase the diversity of programmatic approaches and practices and foster networking.
